Alessandra Giacardi Email

Architect, she conferred the degree at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Genoa, Italy, in 2006 with the thesis “Nomadism and Architecture” (supervisor: Brunetto De Battè). At moment she’s confering a PhD in Design, at the School of PhD in Architecture and Design, University of Genoa. From last April 2011 she's collaborating with TU Delft - University of Technology (The Netherlands) - Design for Sustainability - Industrial Design Engineering.

Her main research interests concern the relation between design and craft, eco and sustainable design and the communication of these concepts.
 She worked in Ireland, Dublin and as architect in Spain, Sevilla, with the Architectural studio "Solinas y Verd Arquitectos" where she could learn and research about eco-architecture and design. She's interviewing important designers and architects about the relationship between design and craft as Enzo Mari, Michele De Lucchi, Riccardo Dalisi, Ugo La pietra and Lapo Binazzi.
